Blood rains from the sky,
As the earth falls into darkness.
Nothing is left.
Creatures from nightmares roam freely.
The end is here.
Armies of light and dark
Are now at war.
Their battle field is set.
All that we once knew
Is crushed before our eyes.
Allies lay dead around me,
Friend’s bodies decaying in the streets,
Buildings are reduced to dust.
The battle has lasted years
And I see no end.
Swords clash as human kind
Fights to survive.
The sky is darkened by the ashes
Of thousands of corpses.
The spirits of the dead can be
Seen seeking peace.
No one sleeps anymore,
For fear of an attack.
Years pass, as we live in fear
And the time has come.
One final battle will either
Save us or doom us.
As night fades to day
The armies gather.
Silence fills the land
For the first time in ages.
Then, it is broken by the sounds of war.
Bodies fall to the ground
Like rain drops in a storm.
The land soaked with blood
Becomes a mud pit.
Our numbers decrease faster and faster.
Then, a light shines through the darkness.
The spirits of the dead empower us.
Our armor strengthens and glows,
Our swords ignite with a blue fire.
With our new found energy we fight.
The few left hold their own
Until the final blow is struck.
As the last enemy falls, light returns.
The shadows fade into nothing.
The battle is won and the land returns
To its natural state.
Finally we can be at peace again.
