The Darkness Before Dawn

I thought I would
be black as coal,
No more warmth
within my soul.
But I found you,
and now I see,
that there is still,
some hope for me.
The Darkest clouds,
enshrined in gray,
a light poked through,
no need to stay.
A warmth I found,
a love so true,
This heart of mine,
I give to you.
